For some after-Thanksgiving holiday fun with a cultural twist, head over to Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park, where park officials will teach two German holiday traditions -- wreath-making and candle-making -- in addition to providing materials to decorate Christmas cookies. The event will take place outdoors, so dress warmly, and don't be shy about bringing your camera to capture some holiday memories with your loved ones.
In order to participate in the event, you'll need a park permit, so stop by the visitor's center when you arrive to pay the entry fee and receive updated event information and directions to the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm.
To request more information about the event, contact Iris Neffendorf at 830-644-2252.
