From 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on every Saturday and Sunday between now and June 27, Enchanted Rock State Natural Area will be hosting guided summit hikes. Participants will learn all about the park's cultural and natural resources, history, and conservation efforts from an interpretive ranger.

Bring water and durable hiking shoes and meet at the Gazebo near the summit trailhead. For more information, contact Scott Whitener at [email protected] or 830-685-3636.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Mar. 27)

FAIR. Water stained; 62 degrees; 0.24 feet below pool. Crappie are fair in 4-12 feet of water with orange and chartreuse jigs. Report by Jess Rotherham, Texas Crappie Fishing Service. Lake LBJ has been on fire as of late with bass catches up to and over 10 pounds. Work chatterbaits, flukes and wake baits in pockets and flip a worm or lizard around the beds along the edges of pockets, coves and canals. Report by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs.
