Kimble Kounty Labor Day Celebration, BBQ Cook-Off & Kow Kick Family Fun Festival

On September 2nd, you’ll find arts, crafts, food booths, games, rides, and even a fiddler contest! Stop by for great fun! And visit the website here for more details!

Frontier Days Rodeo and Dance

Also on September 2nd, you can head out for a day of concessions, arts, and crafts. Need something to do with the kiddos? This event will also include kids’ fishing, contests, and tournaments!

Hodgepodge Market

On September 2nd - 3rd, there will be an indoor/outdoor show of booths of handmade items, antiques, and unique gifts. This is a great opportunity to not only have a fantastic time, but also to support local businesses!

Kids Day Out

Enjoy a day designed especially for kids on September 9th at the Highland Lakes YMCA! There will be plenty of activities including but not limited to archery, face painting, gemology, and of course- hot dogs! Yum!

Community Play Day

Get to know your neighbors! If you’re in the Rocksprings area, you can enjoy a day of ziplining, super swinging, and much more! This event will take place on September 9th, and an outdoor lunch will be provided.

Spicewood Demolition Derby

On September 9th at Spicewood Firehall, there will be an annual family fundraiser event. Races start at 6:00 PM. Food, refreshments, tshirts, and hats will be available! Come out for a good time!

Doggie Dip Day

On September 10th at Landa Park Aquatic Complex, from noon to four, you can enjoy Doggie Dip Day, where your dog can swim at the Springfield pool! Sounds like fun, doesn’t it? Just make sure your Fido is up to date on vaccinations, and is wearing a collar.

Water stained; 39–46 degrees; 0.70’ low. Black bass are good on Bleeding Shad Rat–L–Traps, watermelon crankbaits, and wacky rigged green pumpkin Whacky Sticks. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair vertically jigging Pirk Minnows. Crappie are good on Curb’s crappie jigs and live minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are fair on minnows and shrimp. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.
