Top 5 Restaurants on the Lake

What are you in the mood for? If you’re anything like me, that answer probably changes multiple times throughout the day. One meal it might be italian food and the next - mexican. That’s one of the best things about Lake LBJ; it has just about everything you could want within a reasonable distance. Finding something delicious to eat during your trip away from home is the last thing you should worry about - even those of you who may be considered a ‘picky’ eater.

So, without further adieu, I give you the top 5 restaurants on Lake LBJ (in no particular order).

Lantana Grill & Bar
Located in Horseshoe Bay at the Horseshoe Bay Resort, Lantana Grill and Bar has become one of the most popular restaurants on the lake.

On the Rocks
If you’re looking to grab a bite with a view - look no further than On the Rocks. Located between Marble Falls and Horseshoe Bay, this Italian restaurant is known for their excellent food and drinks but most of all - their incredible scenery.

Blue Bonnet Cafe
Locals come from all around Austin to eat the extraordinary American cuisine in Marble Falls from Blue Bonnet Cafe. Coupled with such quaint hospitality, there’s no doubt you’ll find yourself returning time and time again.

Noon Spoon Cafe

Ricks CowTown Barbeque
If there’s one thing you can’t leave the lake without, it’s barbeque. Ricks CowTown Barbeque gives Texas barbeque an entire category of their own - it’s that good.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Apr. 24)

FAIR. Water stained; 74 degrees; 0.27 feet below pool. Crappie are fair in 10-20 feet of water on brush piles with chartreuse jigs. Report by Jess Rotherham, Texas Crappie Fishing Service. Bass are good with a few fish on beds, but there are still plenty in the backs of pockets so use shallow moving baits like a wake bait, swimbait or frog to get some of those good ones. Skipping docks is always a good way to load the boat too using a weightless wacky worm or a jig to get some good bites. Do not forget to run the bulkheads with a shallow crank, fluke or frog. Report by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs.
