Every year, The Picayune asks its readers throughout the Highland Lakes region to vote for their favorite businesses and groups to be included in its annual "Locals Love Us" list. The companies who get recognized are those whose stellar services, products, and customer service have locals going back time and again.
These lists are virtually comprehensive, containing categories that cover everything from basic necessities for living, such as automotive care and plumbing, all the way to exciting things to do on the weekends.
Happily, the wait for 2014's results is over.
In the "Things To Do" Category, notable winners from Marble Falls include: Eddie Shell & The Not Guilties (Band), The Walkway of Lights (Community Event), Hidden Falls Golf Club (Golf Course), Go Paddle Down (Water Activity), Hidden Falls Adventure Park (Outdoor Activity), Johnson Park (Park), and Hill Country Community Theatre (Theater).
Horseshoe Bay and Kingsland racked up these "Things To Do" winners, among others: Kim & Her Bad Habits (Band), Aqua Boom (Community Event), Lighthouse Country Club (Golf Course), Inks Lake State Park (Park), and the Llano County Opry (Theater).
For "Places To Stay," readers selected: Wallace Guest House and The Antlers as the top bed & breakfasts in Marble Falls and Horseshoe Bay/Kingsland. Hidden Falls Adventure Park and Inks Lake State Park were recognized for having the best campsites, while Sunset Point on Lake LBJ and The Edgewater won out for RV Parks.
Trust us when we tell you that there are way too many food, retail, and beverage winners from Marble Falls, Kingsland, and Horseshoe Bay alone to name here. Visit the Daily Tribune's website for the full 2014 list. Whether you're traveling to the area or call Lake LBJ home, heed locals' advice as you explore the area: these companies and clubs rock!
