Fishing Report from TPWD (Sep. 21)

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 90 degrees; 0.23 feet low. Crappie are good with chartreuse jigs in 14-18 feet of water. Catfish are good with punch bait in 18-24 feet of water. Report by Jess Rotherham, Texas Crappie Fishing Service. Bass are slow covering a lot of lake focusing on upper end grass fishing slowly with weightless flukes or Texas rigs, or shaded docks on the lower end. Some topwater action. Report by Randal Frisbie, Central Texas Fishing Guide, LLC. Bass are good with topwater frogs, senkos and flukes around grass walls, brush piles in 8-12 feet of water with shad colored crankbaits, and watermelon or green colored plastics.
