3 Springtime Events Around the Lake

Are you looking for something fun to do this springtime, particularly this May? It’s a great time to get out of the house- right before summer hits and it’s hot, hot, hot! Below are three events happening around Lake LBJ that are sure to bring you a good time!

Bring a Friend Day

On May 5th, from 9AM to 8PM, we invite our Disk Golf Club members to bring a friend! Members always play for free at the Flat Creek Disk Golf course. But on the first Saturday of every month, they’re allowed to bring a friend along to play for free, too!

Grows Together, Goes Together

Are you ready for a time travel culinary adventure? We thought so! On particular Sundays of the month, we feature one grape varietal on this culinary adventure! On Sunday, May 6th we’ll be celebrating Moscato. So bring your taste buds, enjoy a little wine, and relax with your love.

Women’s Global Event Disk Golf Tournament

This year, our Women’s Global Disk Golf Tournament at Flat Creek Disk Golf Destination includes two rounds from the short tees! This event is taking place on May 12th, and includes a $30 fee. This fee of course covers greens fees, a glass of wine, and lunch! Make a day out of it!

If none of these events suit your fancy, you could also kick it back old school style and wade in the water, or go for a swim! The water’s just about ready. So whatever it is you’re doing on or around Lake LBJ, make it memorable.

Well friends, we hope you have a great time out on Lake LBJ this springtime! Don’t forget to always bring along your sunscreen, even on cloudy days! And of course, take plenty of photos so you’ll always remember your time spent on Lake LBJ.

Some fish can be caught on rock and brush piles in 10 feet of water using soft plastics. Report by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs. Water clarity is 3-4 feet, and stained in some areas.
