Fishing Report from TPWD (May 7)

GOOD. Water stained; 75 degrees; 0.32 feet below pool. The pattern remains consistent. Crappie are good 10-15 feet of water with chartreuse jigs or minnows. Catfish are good on punch bait in 20 feet of water. White bass are fair in coves and main lake points in 15-20 feet of water with jigging spoons. Report by Jess Rotherham, Texas Crappie Fishing Service. Bass are very good near grass with light weighted Carolina rigs, flukes and 2-6 foot running shad colored crankbaits. Early morning in the back of coves there is a good topwater bite. Bass are consistently 14 inches to 5 pounds. Crappie are fair on brush piles with minnows in 12-15 feet of water.
