Fishing Report from TPWD (Oct. 13)

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 80 degrees; 0.67 feet low. The fishing pattern is holding steady. White bass are schooling up with some topwater action. Fish near main lake channels, flats, and humps with live bait, swimbaits, and slabs. Black bass are fair on plastic worms, football jigs, swimbaits, and diving crankbaits worked near rocky shorelines, main lake points, and timber in water depths 14-28 feet. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse jigs around brush piles in water depths 12-18 feet. Lots of small crappie, but keep working it, and you'll leave with a few keepers. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers, live bait, and cut bait.
