5 Things You Won't Want to Forget On Your Trip

Are you planning on taking a day trip out to Lake LBJ? We know you’re thrilled! You’re in for tons of swimming, playing, and maybe even hiking! It’s going to be great, but we want to make sure you’re prepared, of course. So here’s a list of five things you won’t want to forget when planning your day trip out to Lake LBJ!

Towels and a Change of Clothes

First off, you’re bound to take a leap into that lake! So bring along plenty of towels for everyone, and of course a change of clothes! In this hot weather, it’s important to wear loose-fitting, sweat-wicking clothing that’ll keep you as cool as possible.

Pool Floats

Does everyone in your group know how to swim? Are children coming along? Pool floats can be a necessity in some situations, and sometimes they’re just fun to have around! Bring along enough to share with others; they’ll be a great hit!

Sunscreen, Aloe Vera, Lotion

You’re going to be in the heat and sun. Be prepared to guard your skin against the sun’s harmful rays by bringing along plenty of sunscreen. And just in case anyone gets a sunburn (hopefully it’s mild!) pack aloe vera gel or lotion and after-sun lotion as well!

Plenty of Water and Snacks

Next, pack plenty of water and snacks to munch on while you’re out on the lake! Keep plenty of ice in your cooler (don’t run out!), and bring things like fruit, trail mix, and for your main course: hot dogs (to grill at a campsite)!

A Camera

Lastly, pack a camera, any sort of camera, even if it’s the one on your phone. You’re going to make so many great memories out on Lake LBJ this summer; you’re going to want to capture them forever. So don’t forget!

Bring with you these things and you’re bound to have a good time splashing around Lake LBJ! Enjoy!
