Are you looking for something fun to do with the family this fall? There are several events happening here in the Texas Hill Country and around Lake LBJ! Let’s explore a few of them; maybe something spooky will catch your eye! Just in October alone, we have all of the following events going on:
Scarecrow Invasion
For the entire month of October, you can join us in our scarecrow invasion, happening at the Downtown Historic District. Enjoy live music, live scarecrows, and cornstalks! They’ll appear in and around town, wearing worn overalls and maybe dressed as your favorite character, like Elvis!
Oktoberfest
Join us in Fredericksburg at Market Square for this event, taking place October 6th-8th. This is an annual celebration of Fredericksburg's German heritage. Enjoy a weekend of festivities including but not limited to music, arts and crafts, and a children’s fun area!
Artoberfest Art Show
Out in Llano at the Dabbs Hotel, the Artoberfest will be held on October 7th. Enjoy an evening with artists, and help support the Llano Fine Arts Guild!
Texas Mesquite Arts Festival
The Texas Mesquite Arts Festival is home to the largest collection of mesquite art in the world. Don’t miss it! It’s happening October 13th-15th, at the Downtown Marktplatz!
Hill Country Indian Artifact Show
On October 21st in Fredericksburg, you’ll find the Hill Country indian Artifact Show! Here we have a wide variety of Texas artifacts like arrowheads, jewelry, trade beads, and more!
Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest
At the end of the month, on October 28th, enjoy the Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest! Celebrate Texas’ food, wine, music, and so much more! This event is also held downtown at the Marktplatz.
We hope we’ve inspired you to get out of the house this fall and hit the town! Have fun out there, and above all, be safe.
