Off the Beaten Path: 5 Fun Ideas for the Summer

Summer is in full swing, and we couldn’t be more excited for it! What are you and your family up to this summer? Are you looking for some fun summer activities? Below I have five great ideas for you to help brighten up your summer plans!

Tye Dye Your Clothing

Have you thought about tye dye lately? Maybe not since the 90’s? Well maybe it’s time we bring it back! Tye dyeing is a great activity for summer, and when you’re finished, you’ll have something to show for your hard work! Make memories with friends and family by throwing a tye dye party!

Watch the Sunrise (or Sunset)

Around here, everyone knows that during our summers, the only remotely pleasurable temperatures are during sunrise and sunset. So grab a blanket, your camera, and pour some hot coffee in your thermos. Get ready to see beauty at its finest. And hopefully you can watch the sun rise (or set) over Lake LBJ! It certainly is a sight to behold.

Go Swimming… At the Lake

If you’re feeling the heat, it may be time to take a dip in the lake! Swimming is the perfect activity for summer because it obviously cools you off! Just don’t forget the following: your favorite towel, plenty of sunscreen, and water/refreshments! Get ready to have a blast!

Take the Boat Out

Vroom vroom! It’s time to rev up that engine… the boat’s engine, that is! Let’s take it out for a day of fun on Lake LBJ. Whether you’re making a weekend out of it with the whole family or just keeping it low key, boating is great way to spend your time this summer. Wouldn’t you agree?

Camp Out at Lake LBJ

If you’re really looking for an adventure, you could always plan a camping trip out at Lake LBJ! Don’t forget to bring plenty of refreshing, cooling snacks like fruits and veggies, and plenty of cold drinks for everyone!

Have a blast out there, friends! And again, don’t forget the sunscreen.
