Summer 2017: Kick it Off on Lake LBJ

Happy Summer 2017! Are you ready to have some fun? Why not kick off this year’s sweltering summer on Lake LBJ? We’ll keep you cool, and most importantly, we’ll keep you entertained! If you’re looking for something to do, check out these events happening throughout the summer:

Starting on July 2nd and ending on the 4th, you’ll find the Llano Rock’n Riverfest and Jet Ski Races! This event is held annually on the Llano riverbanks, and it’s a blast! Kick off a family day of kid-fishing, vendors, inflatables, jeep crawling, and so much more. There will also be food, drinks, and a firework show at the end of the day!

Mark your calendars on July 4th for a Kingsland event of fireworks, land parade, kids parade, arts and crafts, music, food, and of course water activities! You can find out much more by contacting the Kingsland Chamber of Commerce at (325 -388-6211).

If you’re feeling it, The 17th Annual Marble Falls Rodeo Triathlon will be taking place on July 16th! It’ll be a beautiful (yet challenging) course through the scenic Hill Country areas. Start out in the freshwater of Lake Marble Falls, then cruise through the scenic hill country, and end the triathlon with a run through the lakeside of neighborhood of Marble Falls. You’ll be tired at the end, but you’ll have had a blast!

Also in Marble Falls, August 11th through the 13th marks the LakeFest Drag Boat Race! Expect over 100 boats on a quarter mile race track, climbing up to speeds of 250 MPH! Now that's a sight to see!

Stay cool this summer with these events, and so many more throughout June to September. You can find information on other entertaining events by visiting our website, or by exploring on your own! Again, happy Summer 2017!
