So, where are some of the best places to gold on the lake?

The Legends Golf Course

Located on the southeast side of Lake LBJ, the Legends Golf Course has 18 holes that cover 7,620 yards of green. Welcoming the entire public, their course has a level of difficulty that suits everyone - from beginners to experts.

Horseshoe Bay Resort

Book a weekend at the resort and don’t forget to head out to their incredible green! They’ve got 3 different courses; the Slick Rock, Ram Rock, and Apple Rock - which are perfect for anyone and everyone. Take your pick and enjoy the nearly 7,000 yards of green with a club in hand.

Lighthouse Country Club

Completely renovated several years ago, Lighthouse Country Club is the ideal place for golfing and views of Packsaddle Mountain. They have an incredible clubhouse that is perfect for any event, any size. Whether you need a place for a wedding, party, or even just a family event - hit the chipping greens with everyone. You won’t regret it!

Fishing Report from TPWD (Jun. 25)

GOOD. Water stained; 85 degrees; 0.24 feet below pool. Crappie are fair on minnows in 16-20 feet of water on brush piles. Catfish are good in 20 feet of water with punch bait. Report by Jess Rotherham, Texas Crappie Fishing Service. Bass are good on docks and bulkheads in 3-10 feet of water skipping a light jig or Texas-rigged fluke or worm. Some fish can be caught on rock and brush piles in 10 feet of water using soft plastics. Report by Bryan Cotter, Texas Hawgs. Water clarity is 3-4 feet, and stained in some areas. Bass are good around submerged grass on a chatterbaits and a Texas rig worm, or around brush piles and rock piles dragging a worm. Report by Evan Coleman, Big Bassin Fishing Tour.
